Before ordering a custom acrylic business sign, confirm three things: what the size measurement represents, how your logo fits within that space, and which artwork the team should use. These details help you compare the right options and review your proof without confusing a panel size with a logo size.

1. Measure the space where the sign will go

Record the usable width and height of the wall or display area. Leave room for surrounding doors, shelves, switches and other objects. A straight-on photograph can help explain the setting, but include actual measurements as well; a photograph alone does not establish scale.

Mark a proposed outline with paper or removable tape suitable for your surface. Check the position from your normal customer viewing area. Consider the business name and any small tagline separately: fitting the overall logo into a space does not necessarily make every line easy to read.

2. Distinguish panel dimensions from total logo width

For a UV printed acrylic panel

The listed size describes the rectangular acrylic panel, not just the printed artwork. Use the selected product page for the current panel dimensions and available 3 mm or 6 mm acrylic options. Available sizes and materials differ between listings. Confirm the intended orientation and the space around your logo in the proof.

For example, selecting an 18 × 24-inch panel does not mean your logo will be printed 24 inches wide. The layout must also account for the panel edges, mounting positions and the other information you want displayed.

For individually cut 3D acrylic lettering

The selected size describes the total logo width. Height follows the proportions of your design, and the sign has no rectangular or square backing. Separate letters and logo elements form the complete layout.

As a planning example, a logo whose artwork is three times as wide as it is tall would be approximately 8 inches tall at a total width of 24 inches. That is an illustration of proportions, not a promised finished dimension. Confirm the complete width and height in your proof, especially if you change the wording or arrangement.

Thickness is a separate choice from width. The 3D specification offers 3mm, 6mm and 12mm acrylic. Confirm your requested colour and thickness combination with the team before committing to a custom configuration.

3. Gather the logo and wording you want reproduced

Send the original logo file you have, rather than only a photograph of an existing sign or a small screenshot. If you have multiple versions, identify the intended one. Ask the team to review the artwork for your chosen dimensions instead of assuming a file that looks clear on a phone will also be suitable for a large sign.

Tell the team whether an image is your actual artwork or only a style reference. An example photograph may show a different material, mounting arrangement or lighting setup from the product you are ordering.

4. Review the proof as an order checklist

PrintMastery provides a digital proof for approval before production. Check the spelling, logo version, dimensions, layout and agreed colour. For a cut-letter design, review the full arrangement, including the spacing between pieces. Raise corrections before approving the proof.

Printed acrylic signs use standoff mounting; individually cut 3D acrylic pieces use special adhesive. Discuss the intended surface and mounting details for your order instead of assuming the same installation method applies to both formats.

5. Keep production time separate from delivery time

The stated production time is 3–4 business days for printed acrylic and 5–7 business days for 3D acrylic. These are production periods, not arrival dates. If your order is for an opening or event in Canada or the USA, share the destination and required date so the team can confirm the applicable order schedule and delivery options.
